Description
This single thread Wayuu bag was hand made using the crochet technique by the women of the Wayuu tribe in La Guajira. Each piece is unique and takes a Wayuu woman up to two weeks to knit. Selling their craft plays an important part in providing for their families and by purchasing the products of their hands you are contributing to the tribe’s economy and to preserving their traditional art of weaving. Each Wayuu bag is made of approximately 70% cotton and 30% acrylic thread.
Sizes may vary slightly but each bag is approximately 33 cm at the base and 33 cm high with a 100 cm long strap.
